The One-Eyed Goat

Once, while escaping a lion, a goat lost her right eye. She was now having a hard time as she could not see her enemies properly. If she grazed in the forest, she could only see animals coming on her left side, but she was completely unaware of her right side. To protect herself, she started grazing by the river bank, with her good eye facing the jungle and her blind eye facing the river. This way, she could spot any enemy coming from the jungle. She was assured that no harm could come from the riverside. However, the river was infested with crocodiles. One day, while she was grazing while keeping an eye towards the jungle, a crocodile came from the river and attacked her. She had never expected the danger from the river. Before she could run away or know what happened, she was dead.
