Abu Dhabi’s fantastic show!
Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), had an exciting New Year’s Eve celebration. The city held a big fireworks show at the Sheikh Zayed Festival in Al Wathba. It was so amazing that it set new world records!
The fireworks lasted 50 minutes and were full of bright colours and fun designs. People couldn’t stop watching!
One special part of the show was a light display with 6,000 drones. For 20 minutes, the drones made cool shapes and pictures in the sky. Everyone loved the “Happy New Year” message created by 3,000 drones.
What records were created?
The festival made six Guinness World Records! Some of the records were:
The biggest drone display ever, with 6,000 drones flying together.
A “Happy New Year” sign made with 3,000 drones.
The largest fan-shaped firework in the sky.
The fireworks also set records for having the most fireworks in one minute and the most in 24 hours. Small shows started every hour before the big finale at midnight.
People raise concerns.
Many people enjoyed the show, but some had concerns. They said the fireworks were loud and might scare animals. Others worried about air pollution and how it could hurt people’s health.
