Air pollution can cause illnesses like pneumonia or bronchitis. It can also cause nose, throat, eye, or skin irritation, hair loss, etc. Long-term effects of air pollution include heart disease, lung cancer, etc. It also damages people's nerves, brains, kidneys, and livers.

The young and the old, whose immune systems are generally weaker, are the ones most affected by air pollution.
