He became a politician with the Labor Party when he grew up and served as a member of the Parliament for more than twenty years. And now, at the age of fifty-nine, he finally has his chance to make Australia the country of his dreams.
</p> <h5>Who did Anthony Albanese defeat to become Prime Minister?</h5>  <p>Anthony Albanese defeated Scott Morrison to become Australia’s thirty-first Prime Minister.
Scott Morrison was elected Australia’s Prime Minister in 2018. People were very happy when he won the election. Morrison is an expert businessman who strengthened Australia’s economy.
</p> <h5>Where did Morrison’s government not do well?</h5>  <p>Scott Morrison’s government did not focus on climate change at all. Under his leadership, Australia suffered some of the worst forest fires and floods in history.</p>

<p>Morrison also ignored women’s issues, because of which women voters were not happy with him.</p>
<p>Eventually, people began to realise that he was an autocratic leader. That’s why they voted him out in 2022.
</p> <h5>What promises did Anthony Albanese make?</h5>  <p>Here are the promises that Anthony Albanese made to the people: (a) increase the minimum amount of money that people can get for their work; (b) make taking care of children and the elderly cheaper; and (c) make Australia more environmentally friendly by 2030.  
</p> <h5>What does the future look like for Anthony Albanese?</h5>  <p>No one could have guessed that the same Australians who were happy with Scott Morrison’s win would be glad to be rid of him a few years later. </p>

So it’s too early to tell how Anthony Albanese’s time as Prime Minister will turn out. After three years, we will know if Albanese keeps his promises or disappoints people who voted for him as Morrison did.
