What is Apple’s WWDC event?
The Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) is an event held by Apple Inc. every year. At this event, Apple shows its latest software upgrades, tools, and technologies for its operating systems (OS) and platforms.
They also announce new computers, iPads, and other devices. The conference mainly targets developers, but it's also interesting for the general public. This year's WWDC is taking place from 5th June 2023 to 9th June 2023.
The event is available online for everyone to watch. On June 5th, there was an in-person experience at Apple Park in California, USA. Participants can attend meetings and interact with Apple engineers and other developers during this year's online event. At the ongoing WWDC, Apple introduced a new product after eight years.
What did Apple introduce at WWDC 2023?
Apple announced the Vision Pro headset at WWDC 2023. It's a new headset that one can control using their hands, eyes, and voice. This special headgear combines the real world with digital elements, called augmented reality (AR).
The Vision Pro also has 5 sensors, 12 cameras, and a high-quality 4K display for each eye. There's even a slider that lets one switch between augmented reality and virtual reality (VR).
What can be done using Vision Pro?
The Vision Pro is a device that lets one see things in really awesome ways. One can use it to watch movies with special audio that makes it feel like they are inside a movie hall. (how cool!). One can also look at their own pictures and videos.
One super cool thing about the Vision Pro is that it shows apps on top of the real world. It can turn a user’s living room into a gallery. This device can help take pictures and videos. When someone looks at them later, it's like they’re right where they took those photos and videos.
Video calls are easier too. When using FaceTime, the people on the screen look like they're right there. The sound of the device makes it seem like their voices are coming from where they are in the room.

When will the Vision Pro become available for purchase?
This product will be available for purchase in 2024. In the beginning, it will be sold in the United States. Later, it will be available in other countries. So, this device will likely be available in India in the middle of next year or late 2024.
