It will make clean electricity using fast-moving water.</p><p>But many people in India and Bangladesh are worried about it.</p><h5>How Big Is the Dam?</h5><p>This dam is very, very big.</p><p>When it is ready in the 2030s, it will make enough electricity for 300 million homes!</p><p>The dam will be about 250 metres tall, and it will cost $167 billion to build.</p><p>Water will move through long tunnels and spin big machines called turbines. These turbines turn water into electricity. This is called hydropower.</p><h5>What Could Go Wrong?</h5><p>This river flows through a beautiful place with many animals and plants.</p><p>The dam may harm the fish and hurt animals that live near the river.</p><p>It can also block silt (soft sand and soil) that helps farms in India and Bangladesh grow crops.</p><p>The dam is also in a place where earthquakes can happen. If the ground shakes, it can cause floods or damage the dam.</p><h5>Why Are People Worried?</h5><p>India needs the Brahmaputra River for farming and water.</p><p>If China holds too much water, it may cause droughts.&nbsp;<br>If they let out too much water, it may cause floods.</p><p>India and China do not have a water-sharing agreement, so it can be dangerous.</p><h5>What Can Be Done?</h5><p>The dam will make a lot of electricity without smoke or coal.</p><p>But it may also hurt people and nature.</p><p>China, India, and Bangladesh should share river data and work together to keep the river safe and fair for all.</p>
