About CRPF.
The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) is part of the country’s Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) and functions under the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA).
The CRPF helps states and Union Territories with law and order, fights threats and helps carry out rescue operations during natural disasters.
During elections, they provide security to polling booths, places where voting machines are kept, etc.

Historic decision taken!
2600 cooks and water carriers, the lowest rank in the CRPF, have been promoted for the first time to head constables from their constable positions.
An officer said earlier those in this position couldn't be promoted and would retire in the same rank they were recruited for despite years of service.
The cooks and the water carriers are the unsung heroes of the CRPF, ensuring the CRPF personnel have proper food and clean water.
Sadly, cooks and water carriers were never promoted, likely due to their non-combatant role and different duties from soldiers. Thankfully, the government has decided to promote them.

Treating everyone with respect!
We must treat everyone with respect, no matter their profession. Whether someone is a high-ranking officer or a cook, we must not treat people differently based on their work.
Showing everyone respect and kindness can make our society a better place to live in.
