Each participant completed eight activities with a 4-year-old female standard poodle. The activities included playing, meeting, feeding, massaging, grooming, hugging, photographing, and walking the dog.</p><p>The walking activity was conducted on a park road. In this new study, researchers wanted to know how specific activities affected mood by measuring brain activity and questioning participants about their emotions. A piece of equipment was used to measure the brain activity.</p><p>Following every task, the participants were given a few minutes to answer questionnaires on their emotional states.</p><h5>What results did the study reveal?</h5><p>The researchers discovered that different activities had varying effects on individuals' brain waves. The study found that playing and walking with the dog made people feel more emotionally stable and relaxed, which is connected to improved memory and less mental stress.</p><p>Playing, grooming, and gently massaging the dog were all associated with improved attention and concentration. Participants reported feeling considerably less depressed, tired, and stressed after engaging with the poodle.</p><p>The experiment also studies a part of the brain important in emotional and social processing. The study shows that emotional or social bonds with animals may influence activity in this location.
