Why is Elon Musk in the news again?
Elon Musk may be the world's richest man, but since purchasing Twitter, he has received a lot of criticism. He fired many employees and launched a subscription service for those who want to get their accounts verified (the blue tick that can be seen next to an account name). Employees were also told to work long hours. Twitter used to make money by allowing businesses to advertise on its platform. Companies, however, are worried about advertising on Twitter as Musk favours free speech.
Musk also declared that if the company does not earn more money than it spends, it may go bankrupt. All of this has gotten him a lot of criticism.
Recently, Musk had a tussle with Apple over several issues.
What is Elon Musk’s issue with Apple?

According to Elon Musk, Apple threatened to remove Twitter from its app store. Apple products (MacBook, iPhone, etc.) include an app store where users can download various apps.
Apple requires social media platforms available in its app store to remove harmful or abusive content. But since Musk encourages free speech instead of content moderation, Apple might not like this. So, Twitter could be removed from the app store in the future.
So, what will happen now?
As of now, iPhone users need not worry. Elon Musk has said that he held talks with Apple’s head, Tim Cook, and sorted out the issue. Apple won’t be removing Twitter from its app store.
Twitter's finances will suffer if it is removed from Apple's app store and Google Play Store. People won’t be able to download the app and the social media platform would lose a lot of customers. So, keeping this in mind, Musk solved this issue by meeting with Apple's head.
