What is Tetris?

Tetris is a fun video game made by a Russian scientist named Alexey Pajitnov in 1984. It became really popular and one of the best and most known video games for many years. One can play it on almost every gaming system. In Tetris, the goal is to get as many points as possible by removing horizontal lines of blocks.

Players must rotate, move, and drop the falling Tetriminos inside the playing field. When the lines are full of blocks, and there's no empty space, they disappear. The game gets harder as players clear lines, and the Tetriminos fall faster. The game ends when the blocks reach the top of the playing field.

Many versions of the game have been created. Someone recently beat Tetris for the first time.
