KKR into the finals!
The Indian Premier League’s (IPL) Qualifier 1 (Q1) was recently held between the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). KKR won the match and reached the finals.
KKR fans are happy with the win. SRH fans still have hope as their team faces the Rajasthan Royals (RR) in Qualifier 2 (Q2) for another chance to reach the finals.

Format of the playoffs.

The top four teams on the points table reach the playoffs, divided into Q1, eliminator, and Q2. The top two teams play in Q1, where the winner directly reaches the final.
The losing team of Q1 gets another chance in Q2 to reach the finals.
The third and fourth-placed teams face each other in the eliminator. The loser gets eliminated, while the winner plays the Q2 against the Q1 loser. The Q2 winner reaches the final.
KKR, SRH, RR, and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) are this season's top four teams and qualified for the playoffs.
RCB eliminated!

RR and RCB played each other in the eliminator. RCB fans hoped Virat Kohli would lift the IPL trophy, but they lost to RR.
RR will face SRH in Q2, while RCB gets eliminated from the tournament.
