What is the name of ISRO’s upcoming space mission?
With the success of the Chandrayaan-3 mission, a lot of people are excited about ISRO’s upcoming space missions. One of these missions is the Aditya-L1 space mission. Aditya L1 is India's first mission to study the Sun. This spacecraft will be placed in an orbit around the Sun-Earth system's Lagrange point 1 (L1), around 1.5 million kilometres from Earth.
Putting a spacecraft at this point has a big advantage. It can watch the Sun without any eclipses. This will allow scientists to see solar activity and its effects on space weather.
What are some objectives of this mission?

The mission aims to study the Sun's upper atmosphere, which includes the corona. It will also study the Sun’s plasma, the start of coronal mass ejections, and flares.
This mission will help us learn more about the Sun. The spaceship will have seven payloads on it. Four will watch the Sun closely, while the remaining three will conduct various research. This research will help the scientists study the Sun.
When will the Aditya-L1 spacecraft be launched?
The Aditya-L1 will be launched using ISRO's PSLV XL rocket from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh, on 2nd September 2023. The spacecraft will first be placed in low-Earth orbit before moving towards the L1 point.
After its launch, the spacecraft will take four months to reach the L1 point.
