If not an adult (which includes you), they must also seek permission from their parents to use it. After logging in, one can upload texts and participate in various public discussions. Elon Musk stated, "Competition is fine, cheating is not." Meta responded by saying no one on the Threads team is a former Twitter employee.</p><p>Instagram and Facebook (both owned by Meta) have a history of copying features of other apps. The company's Reels feature was a copy of TikTok's video app. Its disappearing stories feature is similar to Snapchat. So, let’s wait and see how both companies deal with this issue.</p><p>Till then, someone can easily download and explore the Threads app.</p><h5>How can you use social media safely?</h5><p>First of all, you should seek parental permission before you make a social media account. Next, create a strong password for your social media accounts to keep them safe. Passwords, such as your name, birth date, etc., should be avoided. Use a combination of letters, numbers, and symbols to strengthen your password.</p><p>Don’t reveal personal information like your full name, address, phone number, school name, etc., online. They can be used to identify you. Always seek guidance from your parents when opening social media accounts.
