<h5>What is the U-19 Asia Cup?</h5><p>The Under-19 (U-19) Asia Cup is a cricket tournament for the U-19 teams in the Asian Cricket Council (ACC). The ACC also organises the tournament. This tournament was first organised in 1989 in Bangladesh. This year’s tournament is the tenth edition.</p><p>The tournament is being held in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from 8th December 2023 to 17th December 2023. Eight teams are participating in the tournament. They are India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Nepal, the UAE, and Japan, divided into two groups.</p><p>India is the tournament’s most successful side, having won the trophy eight times (India even won the previous edition). Photo by BCCI.</figcaption></figure><p>In the 50-over match, India batted first, scored 259 runs, and lost nine wickets in the process. Pakistan had to score 260 runs to win the game. Pakistan easily reached the target with three overs to spare. Pakistan’s final score was 263 runs for the loss of 2 wickets.</p><p>Pakistan played really well to defeat India and is now placed in the first position in Group A (at the time of writing this). Group A consists of India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Nepal. Group B consists of Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, the UAE, and Japan.</p><h5>What are India’s chances of winning this tournament?</h5><p>After the defeat against Pakistan, India is placed second in Group A. India has already defeated Afghanistan and will play against Nepal in its last group league match on 12th December 2023. India must win this match to advance to the semi-finals.</p><p>The top two teams from each group will qualify for the semi-finals of the tournament. The semi-final winners will play in the tournament's final match. Let’s hope India plays well to win the tournament.</p>
