A big organisation called Euromonitor International made the Top 100 City Destinations Index 2024. Paris has been ranked first on the list as the world's most attractive city.
Paris is famous for the Eiffel Tower and the Mona Lisa at the Louvre Museum. But there’s more! It has lovely gardens, old and beautiful buildings like the Notre Dame Cathedral, and peaceful places to relax.
Paris is also a very safe city. It has great hospitals and a strong tourism system. That’s why it won first place!

Experts checked 55 things, such as:
How good the city’s economy is.
How many tourists visit.
How safe and healthy it is.
How it cares for the environment.
Based on all these, Paris became number one!
Are there any Indian cities on the list?
Here’s some great news: Delhi is the first Indian city to make the list! It is ranked 74th. Maybe more Indian cities will join next time.
Tourism is growing again after the COVID-19 pandemic. Europe is still the most visited region, and Paris is shining like a star!
