<h5>What is a skyscraper?</h5>  <p>We all need a place to live and work. We need a home where we can sleep, relax, and have fun with our loved ones. We need a school or college where we can go to study. Our parents also require an office where they can go to work. 
In the past, when the world's population was low, people required much less space to live. You may have noticed that most old houses and buildings are not as big as the ones we build today. But now, since the population has increased drastically, we require more space.
To fulfil our need for living space, buildings with multiple floors were made. These buildings were very tall and had multiple homes and offices inside one building. These tall buildings are known as skyscrapers. As of now, there are many skyscrapers built around the globe.
But to fully understand skyscrapers, we must first learn about their history.
</p> <h5>What is the history of skyscrapers?</h5>  <p>The world’s earliest skyscrapers were mainly built in the United States of America (USA). The first skyscraper was built in 1885 in Chicago, USA, with ten floors. As time went on, they became taller. Modern-day skyscrapers are built using steel and concrete and have over twenty floors.</p>
<p>Nowadays, more and more skyscrapers are being built in every corner of the world. Many countries are now building them to make more homes for their citizens. Countries are also competing against each other to build bigger and better skyscrapers.</p>
<p>Saudi Arabia is one such country planning to build a skyscraper for the use of its citizens. Let’s find out what is so different about the skyscraper that Saudi Arabia plans to build.

      </figure> <p>Saudi Arabia plans to build the world’s largest structure, the Mirror Line. It will have two massive 1,600 feet high skyscrapers that run sideways for 120 km. This first-of-its-kind project will cost Saudi Arabia around $1 trillion!
The two skyscrapers will be built in Neom, a city in Saudi Arabia. Neom is a desert area, and the skyscrapers will be built by cutting through a mountain range.

      </figure> <p>Its massive size is not the only thing unique about the Mirror Line, also known simply as The Line. The two skyscrapers will have a lot of modern facilities. The Line will have a massive stadium constructed at the height of around 1,000 feet. 
Apart from this, The Line will also have many travelling facilities for its citizens, including a high-speed train running below the two skyscrapers.
</p> <h5>What are the issues that the planners might face?</h5>  <p>Saudi Arabia’s government has set 2030 to be the deadline for the completion of the skyscrapers. However, experts are not sure that the project will be completed by then. According to some experts, it might take around fifty years to complete the construction.</p>
<p>Environmentalists are also displeased with the project since it will disturb the local wildlife and change the area's natural environment.
