<h5>Where was the skull discovered?</h5><p>The skull of a giant sea monster has been discovered on the Jurassic Coast of Dorset, England, the United Kingdom (UK). The skull belongs to a Pliosaur, a fierce marine animal that lived in the Earth’s oceans around 150 million years ago. The discovered fossil is 2m (6ft 5in) long. It is one of the most complete specimens of its kind ever found.</p><p>The fossil will provide new information on this prehistoric animal. The discovered skull is longer than the height of most humans. This indicates how big the monster must have been. Pliosaurs generally lived between 200 million and 65.5 million years ago.</p><p>They could grow more than 40 feet long. They had enormous jaws, large flippers, and sharp dagger-like teeth and could hunt prey swiftly. It was around two feet long, with teeth, and appeared to be the remains of a Pliosaur. When a crew returned to check it out days later, they discovered the snout had fallen from a cliff on the shore. The skull’s remainder was still stuck in the cliff.</p><p>The team worked very hard to extract it. An expert said the fossil is a "discovery of a lifetime" as the skull was intact and no bones were missing. An expert has also said the rest of the Pliosaur fossil could be inside the cliff, and it will be excavated someday.</p><p>The fossil, its excavation process, and ongoing scientific examination will be shown in an upcoming documentary that will be presented by <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://www.newsahoot.com/articles/un-names-sir-david-attenborough-champion-of-the-earth">Sir David Attenborough</a>, a famous naturalist.</p><h5>What is the Jurassic Coast?</h5><p>The Jurassic Coast is England's sole natural <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://www.newsahoot.com/articles/santiniketan-is-now-a-unesco-world-heritage-site">World Heritage Site</a> and is 95 miles (152 km) long. It was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2001. It has been added to the list for its exceptional rocks, fossils, and landforms.</p><p>The Jurassic Coast's rocks, fossils, and landforms have revealed the Earth’s history spanning 185 million years. Many specimens have also been discovered from this region.</p>
