We all know that the moon orbits the Earth without blocking the sun’s light. But, during a total solar eclipse, the moon blocks the sun’s light for a short time by coming in front of it.
This causes darkness in some areas of the world as if it were nighttime! Does this happen frequently?
Nope! A total solar eclipse happens after a gap of 375 years at any location. So, if you see one today, you may have to wait centuries to see another in your city.
When did the recent one take place?
