</p> <h5>Who is Sophia?</h5>  <p>Sophia is the world’s first AI robot created in the form of a human. She was introduced to the world in 2016. Sophia was created by a company called Hanson Robotics based out of Hong Kong. Sophia looks like an adult human lady. She is made to resemble the British actress Audrey Hepburn, who is recognized as a classic beauty.</p>

<p>Sophia’s human looks and ability to interact in English has made her popular all over the world. One of Sophia’s most notable features is her ability to mimic human expressions. She can do this because her skin is made of rubberised silicone that can move like facial muscles.</p>
<p>Sophia has been classified as a humanoid - part-human and part-machine. The more she interacts with other humans in society, the more her human-like qualities become apparent. She has also been granted an honorary citizenship of Saudi Arabia.
</p> <h5>What can Sophia do?</h5>  <p>Sophia has been invited to speak at many international events. She can sing, joke, and talk about politics and business. She is almost human in the way she intelligently handles a conversation.</p>

Sophia has her own ideas and preferences. She has shared her love for Bollywood movies and Shah Rukh Khan in her interviews. She also talks about starting a family with children someday. She has been to over 65 countries and loves to travel. She wonders what it feels like tasting food or swimming, activities which she cannot do. 
</p> <h5>Why was Sophia made? </h5>  <p>Sophia was made to test the limits of AI and envision what the future might look like when machines can make decisions by themselves. Sophia’s intelligence gives us a platform to discuss ethical considerations, understand how humans make decisions or pick up languages, use free will, and develop preferences. </p>

Sophia’s creation helps us understand what separates human intelligence from machine intelligence. She is the first step in seeing how far engineering and science can go to replicating human intelligence in machines.
