Zomato CEO On Mall Discrimination
Zomato CEO turns into delivery partner.

Zomato’s CEO, Deepinder Goyal, recently tried being a delivery partner for his company to see what delivery workers go through. He delivered food orders in Gurgaon, Haryana, and shared his adventure on social media.

People thought it was great because he could see and maybe fix the problems delivery workers face. But others wondered if he was just trying to make Zomato look good. What do you think?

Goyal faced discrimination.

Deepinder Goyal posted a video revealing that he was stopped from using the main entrance of Gurugram’s Ambience Mall while making food deliveries. So, he had to take the stairs to the third floor.

When he arrived, he saw delivery workers waiting on the stairs and sat with them to hear their problems. He realised his company needed to work with malls to help delivery workers.

After his video, the mall owner made a comfy spot for delivery people to wait and agreed to use “walkers” to carry food inside the mall. Goyal wants all mall owners to be kinder to delivery workers.

No one should face discrimination.

Delivery workers, maids, and drivers sometimes aren't treated nicely at malls, buildings, and offices. They might not be allowed to use the elevators or bathrooms, and some people don’t treat them nicely just because of their jobs. That’s not cool!

But guess what? These fantastic people help us every day! They bring our yummy food and parcels, clean our homes, and drive us where we need to go. They deserve our thanks and smiles!

So, let’s always be kind and fair to them. Treating everyone with respect makes the world a happier place for all!
