We recently read an article about Manu Bhaker winning a bronze medal in shooting at the Paris Olympics. You can read the full article here.

Let's consider the fact that India, with a population of around 142 crores, has won a total of 3 medals so far, while France, with a population of around 6.8 crores, has won 27 medals so far.

If we look at the Olympics 2020, Australia, with a population of only 2.6 crores, won 46 medals in total, while India won 7 medals in total.

We can clearly infer that countries with a much smaller population than India are winning a large number of medals, and India, being the most populated country in the world, manages to win only a few Olympic medals.

What factors at the community, state, and national levels are contributing to fewer wins? Is there something at the school or college level that can be done to bring in more medals? Let's think about it.
