Recently, a preparatory school in the United Kingdom (UK) has named an AI robot as its "principal headteacher."The school, named Cottesmore School, is located in West Sussex. They have worked with an AI company to create Abigail Bailey, the robot, to help the school's headmaster.How will AI help the school’s headmaster?Cottesmore's headmaster, Tom Rogerson, said he is using the AI to guide him on various things like supporting fellow staff members, how to help students with special needs, writing school-related rules, etc. The headmaster also said that Abigail Bailey has also been built to have knowledge about school management.The AI robot also can analyse large volumes of data. The school’s AI robot operates similarly to ChatGPT, where people type questions, and the chatbot answers them. Rogerson would like other schools to use this technology to help them out.Cottesmore School also has one more AI-based robot. This robot, named Jamie Rainer, has been hired to help the school integrate technology into the syllabus and advise teachers on how to reduce their burden.
