Baahubali animated series?
Have you seen the Baahubali movies? They were very popular in India. But didn’t the story end in the second film? Yes, it did.
However, a new animated series, ‘Baahubali: Crown of Blood’, has been announced.
The animated series is a prequel to the films, showing Baahubali and Bhallaladeva working together to protect their kingdom from Raktadeva, a warlord.
It has been created by S.S. Rajamouli and Sharad Devarajan and will be released on Disney+ Hotstar on 17th May 2024.
Why are prequels made?
Prequels help show what happened before the start of the main events of a story or tell the stories of other characters.
For example, there is a movie character who became a fan favourite but had a short role in the movie.
Film directors can make a prequel film about them to engage audiences and deepen our understanding of our favourite characters and their stories.
