This mouth-watering dessert is very popular in the state and taking a bite of this will fill you with joy.</p><p>It is made using soft, fresh cheese called ‘chhena.’ The chhena is boiled in sugar syrup and soaked in a cardamom-flavoured sweet milk syrup. This delicacy is usually served chilled and garnished with dried pistachios, almonds, etc.</p><h5>Is chhena really cheese?</h5><p>Cheese is a dairy product made from milk. There are various kinds of cheese available worldwide that have various names, tastes, etc.</p><p>Even though we use the word ‘Chhena’, it can be referred to as a type of cheese. For example, paneer is known as Indian cottage cheese in English. Chhena is made by curdling milk.</p><h5>How does TasteAtlas make the rankings?</h5><p>TasteAtlas has a database of over 15,000 dishes and ingredients. Throughout the year, users rate the food in their database.</p><p>TasteAtlas has a technology that checks all the ratings. It marks some ratings as invalid. Many people from one nation give high points to their country’s own dishes but low points to other dishes. Such votes are not counted.</p><p>Only genuine ratings made by food lovers are counted to publish the various lists yearly.</p>
