The Coexisting Champion initiative.
The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) is starting a project called 'Coexisting Champion' to help stray dogs stop being aggressive because they're hungry.
Many stray dogs don’t get enough to eat, making them grumpy and more likely to bite. But guess what? The BBMP is partnering with animal keepers and local shops to ensure these dogs get regular meals!
The BBMP wants to make the city’s dogs happier and friendlier by feeding them more often. No more bites, just wagging tails! Isn’t that an awesome idea?
How will this initiative be carried out?
Animal lovers in Bengaluru can now sign up with BBMP’s Animal Husbandry division to help feed stray dogs! One can register from 2nd to 31st October 2024 using a link on their social media pages.
This will help BBMP track feeding activities and improve the project. First, they’ll test the idea in a few places, and if it works, they’ll use it everywhere in the city.
BBMP is also working hard to rescue and care for animals. Isn’t it awesome to help our furry friends?
Reactions to the initiative.
Some animal lovers think the new BBMP plan is awesome, but others aren’t sure. One person says feeding street dogs is hard because people chase them away or dogs fight.
She hopes BBMP’s plan will help with good feeding spots to stop fights. Another person worries about how the plan will work. But many think it will help and any problems can be fixed later.
BBMP promises to make this project great and will work with veterinarians and animal groups to keep improving it. What do you think about this plan?
