Justin Trudeau has resigned as Liberal Party leader and Canada's Prime Minister. Reports say, Trudeau has talked with another minister, Dominic LeBlanc, about whether LeBlanc could become a temporary leader.

Justin Trudeau has been Canada’s PM since 2015 and leader of the Liberal Party since 2013. When he became leader, the party was not doing well. But he helped them win elections in 2015, 2019, and 2021!
Fun fact: Justin’s dad, Pierre Trudeau, was also the PM of Canada! Politics runs in his family. Justin saw how politics worked when he was growing up. He worked hard and became the leader of the Liberal Party.

Justin Trudeau was very popular in the past. People liked his new ideas for Canada. But now, fewer people support him. His government almost lost some important votes.
Canada also has problems with some countries, like India. In December 2024, Chrystia Freeland, the Deputy PM, quit her job because she disagreed with Trudeau. All of these have ultimately caused him to leave his job.
