<h5>What kind of Indie dogs will be recruited?</h5><p>Several dog breeds from India, like the Rampur hound, Gaddi, Bakharwal, etc., might soon join the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) to help with police work. The CAPFs, which include the BSF, CRPF, CISF, etc., are getting ready to recruit these local dog breeds.</p><p>They are currently trialling breeds like the Rampur hound at the CRPF and BSF dog training centres. The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) is also conducting trials for Indian dog breeds such as the Mudhol hound.</p><p>The MHA has also requested trials for Himalayan mountain dogs like the Himachali shepherd, Gaddi, Tibetan mastiff, etc., by the BSF, ITBP, and SSB. The CAPFs are the largest users of police dogs in India, with around 4,000 dogs. For example, the CISF guards important industrial places, and the CRPF helps maintain law and order and internal security. There are seven organisations under the CAPFs: AR, BSF, CISF, CRPF, ITBP, NSG, and SSB.</p>
