Yuntai Falls (or Yuntai Waterfalls) is China’s highest natural waterfall. Its majestic beauty attracts many tourists to the Yuntai Mountain Park area.

However, the waterfall has generated controversy.

The controversy came about when a social media video posted by a Chinese hiker suggested the waterfall might be artificially supplied by a water pipe!?

After the video went viral, many users cracked jokes about how China is making fake waterfalls to attract tourists.

Some claim China can create anything, including fake waterfalls. The country's manufacturing ability is well-known, but it's also infamous for making fake products. That's why people are joking about the waterfall.

Management’s response!

The Yuntai Mountain Park management explained that the dry season was the reason for using a pipe to supply water.

They feared the waterfall would lose its attraction during season changes and dry spells as the water level dropped. So, this decision was made to maintain its majestic look.

Park management promised tourists they'd soon witness the waterfall in its natural glory.
