<h5>Divya Deshmukh Becomes a Chess Champion</h5><p>On July 28, 2025, Divya Deshmukh, a 19-year-old girl from India, won a big chess tournament called the Women’s Chess World Cup.</p><p>She played against Koneru Humpy, another famous Indian chess player, in the final match.</p><p>Divya won the match and made history. She became the first Indian woman to win this tournament.</p><p>She also became a Grandmaster, which is the highest title in chess.</p><p>Only three Indian women had become Grandmasters before her. Divya is now the youngest Indian woman to do it.</p><h5>What Is the Women’s Chess World Cup?</h5><p>It is a very important chess competition for women from many countries.</p><p>It happened from July 5 to July 29, 2025, in a city called Batumi in Georgia, Europe.</p><p>The tournament was played in a knockout format. This means if a player loses, she is out of the tournament.</p><p>Each match had two long games called classical games. If those games were tied, faster games were played to find the winner.</p><p>In the end, only one player becomes the champion.</p><h5>Who Played in This Tournament?</h5><p>There were 107 women in this tournament.</p><p>Some of the top players were from China and India. These included Tan Zhongyi, Lei Tingjie, Harika Dronavalli, and Koneru Humpy.</p><p>The final match was between Divya Deshmukh and Koneru Humpy.</p><p>They tied the slow games, so they played faster games called tiebreaks.</p><p>Divya won in the faster game and became the winner.</p><h5>How Did Divya Win?</h5><p>Divya did not play in the first round.</p><p>She won against players from Georgia, Serbia, China, and India.</p><p>She beat famous players like Zhu Jiner, Harika Dronavalli, Tan Zhongyi, and finally Humpy.</p><h5>India's Future in Chess</h5><p>Divya’s win is a big moment for India.</p><p>It shows that young Indian players are doing great in chess.</p><p>With Divya, Gukesh, and Praggnanandhaa, India’s chess future looks bright and strong!</p>
