<h5>What is INS Vikrant?</h5>  <p>India’s first indigenous aircraft carrier was inducted into the Indian Navy on 2nd September 2022. It is the largest ship ever built in Indian naval history.</p>
<p>The ship is equipped with modern technology and equipment manufactured by many Indian companies. It was named after INS Vikrant, India's first aircraft carrier, which played an important role in the 1971 Indo-Pak war.</p>
<p>India purchased the original INS Vikrant from the British. Over 300 airstrikes were carried out by the INS Vikrant throughout the war. Pakistan's troops were forced to surrender after the INS Vikrant cut them off from the Bay of Bengal.

      </figure> <p>The INS Vikrant is 262 meters long and has 18 floors, 14 decks, and 2,300 compartments that can carry 1500 people. It has a large aviation hangar that can hold a large number of aircraft.</p>
<p>Recently, India's first home-grown Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) Tejas and the MiG-29K landed successfully on the flight deck of INS Vikrant. This is a big achievement that shows the ship's ability to defend the country.
</p> <h5>What is the importance of making INS Vikrant?</h5>  <p>The successful induction of INS Vikrant is a huge step forward for the Indian Navy towards Aatma Nirbhar Bharat (self-reliant India). It shows India's ability to design, construct, build, and operate its own aircraft carrier.</p>
