<h5>What is Groundwater?</h5><p>We use water every day. To drink, wash our hands, cook food, and even water plants.<br>But have you ever thought, “Where does this water come from?”</p><p>You might say rivers or lakes. That’s true! But a lot of the water we use comes from under the ground.</p><p>Yes! Earth keeps water deep underground, like a hidden treasure. This water is called groundwater.</p><h5>How Do We Use Groundwater?</h5><p>People dig deep holes and use pipes and pumps to bring this water up. Farmers use it to grow wheat, rice, fruits, and vegetables. Homes use it in kitchens and bathrooms. So, the water that was once deep inside the Earth ends up in the ocean. This makes the sea rise, little by little.</p><h5>Why is This a Problem?</h5><p>If the sea keeps rising, Cities near the sea like Mumbai, Venice, or New York can get flooded. Island homes like those in the Maldives might go underwater. People and animals may lose their homes.</p><h5>What You Can Do</h5><p>To save water, keep the tap closed while brushing your teeth. Tell the adults around you about simple water-saving tips that they can follow every day. Also, try using a bucket instead of a shower to bathe. You can also ask your school to start collecting rainwater for gardening and cleaning purposes.</p><p>Every drop counts! So let’s be Earth’s little helpers. Save water and save our sea!&nbsp;</p>
