Where has India’s longest sea bridge been inaugurated?
The Atal Setu, also called the Mumbai Trans Harbour Link (MTHL), was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Mumbai. This long sea bridge connects Mumbai to Navi Mumbai, making it faster to travel between them.
The MTHL, officially named Atal Bihari Vajpayee Sewri-Nhava Sheva Atal Setu, is owned by the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA). Its main goal is to connect the Mumbai Airport to Navi Mumbai Airport and to make travel to Pune, Goa, and South India quicker from Mumbai.
It also helps to increase communication between Mumbai Port and Jawaharlal Nehru Port, Navi Mumbai.

What more can you tell me about this bridge?

The Atal Setu makes travel between Mumbai and Navi Mumbai much quicker, reducing the time from over 2 hours to just 20 minutes. The whole bridge is 21.8 kilometres long.
The Atal Setu has six lanes, and it took seven years to build. People who use the bridge need to pay toll charges, but it's made easier with technology.
The bridge has strong poles to handle deep-sea weather conditions. These poles are corrosion-resistant, rust-proof, and can resist strong winds. There are also special protections to prevent lightning damage.
Are all vehicles allowed on this bridge?
Motorcycles, autorickshaws, and tractors are not allowed on the sea bridge. Four-wheelers must follow a speed limit of 100 km per hour. There is a specific speed limit for getting on and off the bridge. Recently, the Mumbai police issued a warning about driving on the bridge.
What warnings have been issued?
The Mumbai Police warned people because many were seen stopping their vehicles and taking pictures on the MTHL. The police said it's against the law, and those who don't follow this rule will be punished.
