<h5>A Big Win</h5><p>On 28 September 2025, India won the Asia Cup final against Pakistan in Dubai. The match was exciting, but the celebrations did not go well. India’s players refused to take the winning trophy from the Pakistani cricket chief, and this caused a big problem.</p><h5>What Is the Asia Cup?</h5><p>The Asia Cup is a cricket tournament for Asian countries. It is run by the Asian Cricket Council. The matches can be One-Day Internationals (50 overs) or T20 Internationals (20 overs). The team that scores more runs wins.</p><p>The Cup is held every two years. India has won it 9 times, more than any other team.</p><h5>The 2025 Season</h5><p>The 2025 Asia Cup was played in the United Arab Emirates (UAE as a 20-over (T20) event. Eight teams played 19 matches. First, they played in two groups. The top two from each group went into the “Super Four” round. Then the best two teams from the Super Four reached the final. Abhishek Sharma of India was the Player of the Series for scoring the most runs, while Kuldeep Yadav took the most wickets.</p><h5>India’s Path to Victory</h5><p>India played very well in the group stage and in the Super Four. In the final, Pakistan started strongly but could score only 146 runs. In the second inning, India lost some early wickets, but Tilak Varma scored 69 runs without getting out. His batting helped India win the match and the Asia Cup for the ninth time.</p><h5>The Trophy Problem</h5><p>After playing against Pakistan, Indian players did not do the usual handshakes. In the final, they refused to take the trophy from Mohsin Naqvi, who is both Pakistan’s cricket chief and a government minister. This was done as a protest against Pakistan's connection to the recent Pahalgam terror attack. The trophy was then removed and not given to India.&nbsp;</p><p>Pakistan players also made “fighter plane” signs and “6-0” hand gestures, supposedly mocking India's Operation Sindoor. These signs deeply upset the Indian fans.</p><h5>What We Learn</h5><p>India proved their strength by winning the Cup, but the trophy problem showed how rivalry can spoil happy moments.</p><p>For the future, cricket bodies need to ensure fair celebrations so the focus stays on the game.</p>
