The Indian Army has trained kites and dogs to work together to hunt down enemy drones (amazing!). The two trained animals were used during the military exercise "Yudh Abhyas" between India and the United States of America (USA).

During the military exercise, a kite named "Arjun" was shown hunting down enemy drones.

The animals were seen in action during the "Yudh Abhyas" joint training exercise. The Indian army used a kite and a dog during training to locate and destroy enemy drones. How are the drones tracked? Read on to find out.

The dog listens for drone sounds and warns the Indian army when it hears them (such a clever dog!). The kite then looks for and destroys the drone.

Yudh Abhyas is a yearly joint military exercise between India and the USA. The latest edition of this military exercise took place in Uttarakhand from 19th November 2022 to 3rd December 2022. The goal of the exercise is for the two armies to share best practices, tactics, etc.

The exercise also allowed both forces to share their various experiences, military operations techniques, etc.

Animals have long been used in various armed services for various purposes. Dogs, elephants, and horses have been used for ages. Currently, dogs are used as trackers and scouts. They are also used to find bombs. You've most likely seen police dogs like this in airports and train stations.
