What is the name of this new alliance?

Twenty-six opposition parties recently formed an alliance called 'I.N.D.I.A.'. Their goal is to defeat the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the upcoming elections next year. This election will be held across the entire nation to choose the country's ruling party.

The leader of the Congress party, Mallikarjun Kharge, explained that 'I.N.D.I.A.' stands for 'Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance.'

What are the aims of this alliance?

The alliance's main goal is to work together to protect the country's democracy and Constitution. The recent meeting in Bengaluru was held to prepare for the upcoming 2024 elections.

The different parties will put aside their differences and work together for the betterment of the country. The alliance will also focus on bringing down costs and unemployment in the country.

An 11-person coordination panel will be formed at the alliance's next meeting. A convenor will also be selected. They will also make improved plans to defeat the BJP in next year's elections.
