<h5>What is the name of this new alliance?</h5><p>Recently, twenty-six opposition parties announced the formation of an alliance named "I.N.D.I.A." This decision was taken by the parties to oppose the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the elections next year. This election will be held across the nation, through which the ruling party of the country will be elected.</p><p>Mallikarjun Kharge, head of the Congress party, said that I.N.D.I.A. stands for "Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance." The opposition parties held a meeting in Bengaluru.</p><p>Other names discussed included "Progressive People's Alliance", "Indian People's Front", and "People's Alliance for India." The recent meeting was held to build a foundation for the upcoming elections in 2024.</p><p>The alliance will also put aside their own differences and work towards a common political and economic policy. They will also focus on reducing living costs and unemployment in the country.</p><p>An 11-person coordination panel will be formed in the alliance's next meeting. A convenor will also be selected. They will also make improved plans on how to defeat the BJP in next year’s elections (expected to take place in April and May 2024).</p>
