<h5>Where was the cricket match held?</h5><p>India won their first Test match against Australia in a one-off encounter. The game was recently held at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Photo by Jay Shah.</figcaption></figure><p>India defeated Australia by eight wickets. Australia elected to bat first in the match and scored 219 runs in the first innings. In response, India scored 406 runs, a lead of 187 runs over Australia. In the second innings of the match, Australia tried their best but were ultimately all out for 261 runs.</p><p>India had a target of 75 runs to win the match, which they did easily. The Indian team performed really well on the field to secure this historic win. The team has been praised by many for their excellent performance. Harmanpreet Kaur (the Indian captain) also became only the second Indian woman to win several Tests as captain, following Mithali Raj.</p><p>During the match, the players, including both captains, had many heated moments. However, after the game, Australian captain Alyssa Healy showed her sporting nature by picking up a camera and photographing the Indian team.</p><h5>What’s next for the Indian team?</h5><p>India will now face Australia in three ODI and three T20 matches starting from 28th December 2023. India will host the 2025 ICC Women's Cricket World Cup. Bangladesh will host the ICC Women's T20 World Cup in 2024. Team India must now prepare hard to perform well in both tournaments.</p>
