Mumbai Indians vs Gujarat Titans - who won?
Cricket fever has taken over India with the starting of the Indian Premier League (IPL). We're sure many of you are watching the matches now that your exams are over.
The IPL matches are fun, and fans were very excited about the game between the Mumbai Indians (MI) and the Gujarat Titans (GT). GT won it by six runs!
The game was full of drama and definitely not a night that Hardik Pandya, MI’s new captain, would want to remember.
Drama in a cricket match?
GT fans are upset with Hardik Pandya’s move as captain from GT to MI. He replaced Rohit Sharma as the MI’s captain.
Pandya faced boos during the match while people chanted Sharma’s name in support! Fans also criticised Pandya on social media after the loss.
Certain social media videos also hinted at problems between Pandya and Sharma. Many are saying a split is forming in the team. Only time will tell if everything is alright.
Was the booing necessary?
Fans boo to show their disappointment with players' performances, joining rival teams, etc. Regardless, it’s not seen as good sportsmanship.
Being a sportsperson comes with bad performances, team changes, etc. But booing someone is not okay.
