What’s Lizard van Gogh?

Has a lizard been discovered that can paint like Vincent van Gogh - the famous Dutch artist? ???? Nope! Lizards can’t paint!

Instead, researchers found a new gecko (a type of lizard) species in Tamil Nadu whose body colour can remind people of van Gogh's classic painting, "The Starry Night."

This species has been named Cnemaspis vangoghi, or Van Gogh starry gecko, in honour of the Dutch painter.

Vincent van Gogh, born in 1853, was a famous Dutch painter known for his amazing self-portraits, colourful flower paintings, and beautiful landscapes. He's said to be one of the greatest painters ever.

His work has inspired many people, and his paintings are kept in famous museums.
