NASA’s plan unveiled!

Train journeys can be fun. But a train system on the Moon sounds unbelievable. Well, NASA disagrees.

It has planned to build a train system on the Moon. NASA says it is important to build a transport system to support the lunar base camp that they plan to build on the Moon.

NASA plans a Moon base camp under the Artemis mission. At the camp, astronauts will conduct experiments to test new technologies for future space explorations.

How will the train system work?

The Moon’s train system is named FLOAT (Flexible Levitation on a Track).

NASA will create tracks, robots, and technology for the moon train. These tracks will be for robots, not actual train bogeys with passengers. The robots will float above the tracks.

The FLOAT track can be easily installed and moved on the moon's surface. It will be used to deliver things like research supplies. NASA is already testing it.
