In 1998, NASA chose her as an astronaut. She flew to the International Space Station (ISS) in 2006 and again in 2012.

Sunita Williams was set to travel to space for the third time on the Boeing Starliner spacecraft.

But, it was postponed just hours before launch due to a technical issue with the rocket.

Luckily, the problem was found before launch, or else an accident could have happened during or after lift-off.

Boeing and NASA teamed up to make the Boeing Starliner. It can help carry astronauts and cargo to space, including trips to the ISS.
