Irresponsible woman overfeeds pet dog!

Pets like dogs and cats are great friends! They make us laugh and smile. A dog or cat can bring lots of fun into our lives!

But pets need care just like we do. They need good food and exercise. If we don’t take care of them, they can get sick!

In New Zealand, a lady fed her dog, Nuggi, too much food. Nuggi became so fat that the vet had trouble checking his heartbeat!

Nuggi was being fed lots of chicken and dog biscuits every day, which made him very obese and sick. Remember to take good care of your pets so they stay happy and healthy!

Nuggi is no more!

When Nuggi was rescued by the Royal New Zealand Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA), he had trouble walking because of his weight. He needed to rest and catch his breath, and his legs felt tired.

He stayed at an SPCA animal shelter for two months and started to feel better and lose weight! But sadly, Nuggi passed away, and everyone was very sad.

His former owner has been sentenced to two months in jail and fined. She is also not allowed to have any dogs for a while.

This incident reminds us how important it is to take good care of our pets so they can be happy and healthy!

Responsibility for keeping a pet.

Having a pet is a big job! Like family, pets need lots of love and care. You need to feed them, play with them, and sometimes even take them for walks.

Remember to give your pet a bath to keep it clean and to visit the vet to keep it healthy.

Sometimes, people get pets but don’t take care of them. This can make pets sad or even sick. Some pets are abandoned and have to find food by themselves.

So, make sure everyone in your family is ready to love and care for a pet before you bring one home!
