<h5>What are the Golden Globe Awards?</h5><p>The Golden Globe Awards are presented by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) to recognise outstanding achievements in films and television during the previous year. The Golden Globe Awards are considered second in importance to the Academy Awards (for cinema) and the Emmy Awards (for television).</p><p>The award was first presented in 1944. Today, the Golden Globes recognise achievements in 27 categories, including 14 in film and 13 in television. Irish actor Cillian Murphy won best male actor (drama category) for his portrayal of scientist J Robert Oppenheimer (the creator of the nuclear bomb) in this film.</p><p>Robert Downey Jr. was awarded Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role in any Motion Picture. The Best Director - Motion Picture award went to Christopher Nolan for Oppenheimer. The movie also won the award for Best Original Score - Motion Picture.</p><p>The Award for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture – Drama was won by Lily Gladstone for the movie Killers of the Flower Moon. <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://www.newsahoot.com/articles/barbie-movie-breaks-box-office-records">Barbie</a> received the award in the Cinematic and Box Office Achievement category.
