About Starship.
SpaceX has built an amazing rocket called Starship! It’s a super-powerful, reusable rocket that can take people and stuff to space. Starship can help fly to the Moon, Mars, and even further!
The rocket has two main parts. The first stage, Super Heavy, helps Starship blast off. After launch, Super Heavy comes back to Earth to be used again.
The second part is the Starship spacecraft. This part can fly to space and land back on Earth, too! It’s so strong that it can also travel worldwide in less than one hour!
What’s really cool is that Starship can carry up to 100 people on long trips to other planets. It will also help send satellites and long space telescopes into space!
Plus, Starship can be refuelled in low-Earth orbit, which means it can go even farther. Isn’t that awesome?
The test flight.
SpaceX did something super cool! They used huge mechanical arms to bring back their giant rocket, Super Heavy, to Texas, USA.
When Super Heavy lifted off, it sent the Starship second-stage rocket into space. After helping Starship launch, it flew back to land safely! Super Heavy used three powerful engines to slow down, aiming for the launch tower with big metal arms.
While this happened, Starship zoomed up 143 kilometres into space and landed safely in the ocean near Australia. Isn’t space travel exciting? Every day, it gets cooler and cooler!
Some benefits of using reusable rockets.
Reusable rockets save money because they can fly again and again. This makes space travel cheaper and faster.
These rockets also help countries with less money explore space. When they land back on Earth, they can be quickly fixed for another adventure. It’s like getting ready for a new journey without making a new rocket every time!
Reusing rockets is essential for future trips to other planets. Isn’t that cool?
