India inches closer to the trophy!
The ICC T20 World Cup (WC) is almost finished, with only four teams remaining, including India.
India has done great in the WC till now! They topped Group A and moved to the Super 8 round, facing Afghanistan, Australia, and Bangladesh.
India beat all three teams and made it to the semi-finals (yay!).
India’s place in the semi-final stage was confirmed after their win against Australia (we got them back for the ODI WC!).
Battle of the final four!
Along with India, South Africa, England, and Afghanistan have reached the semi-finals.
Afghanistan surprised everyone by reaching the semi-finals for the first time in a cricket World Cup. They played really well and deserve praise!
Now, the four teams will try their best to win the trophy.
Who will face whom in the semi-finals?
In the first semi-final, Afghanistan will play against South Africa. India will play against England in the 2nd semi-final on 27th June 2024.
The winners of both semi-final matches will play in the tournament's final match.
Let's hope India reaches the finals and wins the trophy, ending their ICC trophy drought.
