It has two mechanical arms sticking out from both sides. When rubbed against blueberry plants, these vibrate and cause them to discharge pollen. This results in increased avocado production and higher-quality fruit. Both devices also have GPS technology that helps the farmers track and manage pollinated regions daily through a dashboard.</p><p>The company has also developed a predictive algorithm system that tells farmers the best time to pollinate their crops. BloomX says that its technology can increase harvest by 30%. Both pieces of equipment are in use in South America, South Africa, Spain, the USA, and Israel.</p><p>BloomX’s technology can help pollinate crops in case local bee populations experience a rapid decline in numbers. However, despite the existence of such technology, bees continue to be essential for our environment.</p><h5>How important are bees to nature?</h5><p>Bees are an important part of nature. They help produce foods like honey. Beekeeping is also a source of income for many. The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) says bees are responsible for one-third of the world's food production.
