<h5>Tesla Comes to India!</h5><p>On 15 July 2025, the famous car company Tesla opened its first showroom in India in a fancy area of Mumbai called the Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC).</p><p>The showroom is called the “Tesla Experience Centre”.</p><p>It showed two shiny cars, one red and one white. These cars came all the way from China, where they were made in a big factory.</p><p>India is a huge country where many people buy cars. So Tesla coming here is a big thing!</p><h5>What is Tesla?</h5><p>Tesla is a car company from America that makes a special kind of car called an electric car.</p><p>These cars run on a battery instead of using petrol or diesel</p><p>The car shown in India is called the Model Y. It is a car that can go a very long distance after charging, up to 622 kilometres in one charge!</p><p>It’s also very fast. It can go from 0 to 100 km per hour in just a few seconds.</p><p>Some Tesla cars can even drive themselves! This feature is called 'autopilot'.</p><h5>Why Electric Cars Are Good</h5><p>Cars that use petrol or diesel make smoke that goes into the air.</p><p>This smoke has a gas called carbon dioxide (CO₂), which makes the Earth hotter. That’s called global warming.</p><p>But Tesla cars don’t make smoke while driving. They are better for the air and the Earth. They also make less noise.</p><h5>Why Did Tesla Come Late to India?</h5><p>Before, the Indian government asked for a lot of extra money (called import duty) for cars made in other countries. That made cars very expensive.</p><p>Now, there’s a new rule: if a company builds a big car factory in India, they don’t have to pay so much extra.</p><p>Tesla hasn’t agreed to this rule yet, so its cars still cost a lot in India.</p><h5>What Will Happen Next?</h5><p>Electric cars still have some problems. Their batteries cost a lot, and it’s hard to throw them away safely.</p><p>Also, there aren’t many places to charge the car yet.</p><p>But Tesla is building fast charging stations in Mumbai and Delhi. So you can charge your cars there (like charging your phone) and it gets ready to drive in just 15 minutes!</p><p>If Tesla builds a huge car-making factory in India (called a Gigafactory), its cars could become cheaper here.</p><p>Many countries want to stop pollution by the year 2050. Electric cars like Tesla can help make the Earth clean and green again.</p>
