<h5>Where is this cycling track located?</h5><p>Cycling in a big city can be difficult due to traffic. People generally avoid cycling as they fear getting hit by other vehicles, as there are no separate cycle tracks present in most Indian cities.</p><p>However, this might change soon in Hyderabad. India’s first solar roof cycling track is being constructed in the city. This track has been named “Healthway.” Work on the 23-kilometre track is progressing quickly.</p><h5>What are some features of this track?</h5><figure class="image"><img src="https://firebasestorage.googleapis.com/v0/b/newsahoot.appspot.com/o/the-first-solar-roof-cycling-track-in-india%2Fcycle%20track%202.jpg?alt=media&amp;token=4069b9e2-4266-4758-9c54-4cc0d1fb6aff"><figcaption>The under-construction cycle track. They are 8.5 kilometres from Nanakramguda to the Telangana State Police Academy (TSPA) and 14.5 kilometres from Kollur to Narsingi. Four access points will allow cyclists to join and depart the track from different areas of Hyderabad.</p><p>This track, inspired by the South Korean bike highway with solar panels, aims to provide a better experience for the city’s cyclists. There will be cycle repair stations at access points, cycle rentals, food trucks, and parking where people can leave their cars and spend time together as a family.</p><p>Thirty thousand solar panels will be attached to the roof of the track. They will not only illuminate the three-lane cycling track but also generate power for the city. The roof will also help protect cyclists from the sun and rain. Around 50 CCTV cameras at entry and exit points will also be installed. This will help the police to monitor the track.</p><p>These are some features of the track. Cycle enthusiasts in Hyderabad are now waiting eagerly for the opening so that they can ride on this track.</p>
