A Walk to Help People
On June 12, 2025, many people from over 50 countries came to Cairo, the capital of Egypt. They started a big event called the Global March to Gaza.
These people want the world to know that the people in Gaza need help. They are asking for food, medicine, and other important things to be sent there.
The march is peaceful. It was not started by any government but by regular people who care for those living in Gaza.
Why Are They Marching?
Gaza is a small place where more than 2 million people live. Because of the war between Israel and Hamas, many things are blocked from going into Gaza.
People do not have enough food, medicine, or clean water. The United Nations says many people could lose their lives due to hunger, including children.
The marchers want to stop this. They want trucks with food and help to go into Gaza.
Who Is Walking?
Thousands of people from more than 50 countries are taking part in this march. There are students, doctors, nurses, teachers, lawyers, and many others who want to help.
Even though they have different jobs and come from different countries, they are walking together for Gaza.
What Is Their Plan?
They started in Cairo on June 12. On June 13, they will take a bus to a town called Al-Arish.

Then they will walk for two days to the Rafah border. The walk is about 48 kilometers (30 miles).

They will stay in tents near the border from June 15 to 19. Later, these tents will be given to the people in Gaza.
After that, they plan to go back to Cairo on June 19.
If the marchers are not allowed to go ahead, they will stay near the border and wait peacefully until help trucks are allowed into Gaza.
For this, they will ask for help using the law and the international news.
What This Means
The Global March to Gaza is a peaceful way to help the people in need.
Even if they are stopped and don’t reach Gaza, people around the world will get the message that Gaza needs help.
