After registration, they will get the Voter ID card, officially known as the Electoral Photo Identity Card (EPIC).</p><p>The application for registration must be made to certain officers of the constituency in which the applicant's regular residence is located. The application and copies of the required documents can be filed in person before the officers.</p><p>It can also be mailed to the officer. One can even fill out the form online. If a person moves from the place where they are registered to vote to another, they must fill out a new form.</p><p>Each voter is only allowed one vote. A voter can vote only in the place they have registered to vote. While many Indian citizens are eligible to vote, few are dedicated to doing so. However, 67.11% of eligible voters voted during the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. This was the highest in India's history. This shows that people are looking forward to casting their votes.</p><p>Every citizen's vote can make a huge difference. If one is dissatisfied with the current government, one can vote for a better one. Voting allows people to make social changes by supporting politicians that reflect their ideals.</p><p>Voting allows people to express their thoughts and preferences about how their country, state, etc., should be managed. It ensures that diverse voices are heard and considered during the decision-making stage of running a country or state.</p><p>If a person is unhappy with all the candidates and doesn’t want to vote for any of them, they can press None of the Above (NOTA). So, voting is very important for our country. That’s why we must ask everyone to participate in the election process. So, ask your parents and elders to vote during elections.</p>
