Amazon achieves renewable energy targets!
Amazon is a big company with many offices around the world. These offices need a lot of energy for computers, air conditioners, and lights.
Using fossil fuels would increase the company’s carbon footprint and cause more pollution. So, Amazon set a goal to only use renewable energy for its offices, data centres, and stores by 2030.
Recently, Amazon announced that it reached this goal seven years early!

How did Amazon achieve this?

To reach its goal, the company has become the largest buyer of renewable energy worldwide. It has spent a lot of money on many solar and wind projects that help generate a lot of power.
Even its offices in India use renewable energy. The company also has projects in the US, Europe, Asia, and elsewhere to meet their energy needs.
Still, the company wants to do more to achieve its target of net-zero carbon by 2040. It is also exploring new clean energy sources to meet its growing energy needs.
We must use renewable energy sources!
It's important to see how we make energy. Making energy can cause global warming when we burn fossil fuels for heat and electricity.
But, people need heat and electricity to live. So alternatively, we should use renewable energy sources like wind and water. These sources are cheaper and release little to no greenhouse gases.
However, many still use fossil fuels, so governments and companies must work together to switch to renewable energy. Amazon's success can inspire others to use cleaner energy.
